Sleeps 5 (plus infant in cot)
We believe this cottage was converted from the old cart house. This explains the mixture of wood panelling and stone frontage. There is one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one single bedroom, comfortably sleeping 5.
The Linhay is a split level property with a private entrance. It is one of 5 cottages on our site and is attached to the Shippon.
You can access the cottage via a small porch. Once inside, the main area consists of an open plan dining and living space. There is a dining table and chairs for 5 and a high chair can be requested if required. There is a Bluetooth speaker so you can enjoy your choice of music while dining or relaxing. The living area has enough comfortable sofa space for the whole group to sit together to talk or watch a bit of TV.
The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, microwave, electric oven and hob. The cupboards are well equipped with crockery, cutlery, glasses and pans. There is a dishwasher to save you time and also a washer/dryer.
The lower hallway is accessed via a small flight of stairs, from here you access the main bedroom, twin room and family bathroom. The spacious main bedroom has an ensuite shower room and ample room for a cot if required.
The single bedroom is located at the other end of the cottage and is accessed directly from the open plan living area. We find lots of older children are thrilled to find there is a good distance between their bedroom and that of their younger siblings.
Linen for double and single beds is included and beds will be freshly made up for your arrival. Towels are not included but during the booking process you can opt to hire them from us for an additional fee.
Guests booking the Linhay can park 2 cars for free in the reserved parking area in front of the cottage.
In addition to private use of the Linhay, guests also have shared access to a number of facilities on site.
- Free high speed wi-fi (Starlink)
- Heated outdoor swimming pool: this is available for guests to use from the May half-term until early September.
- Games room with table football and table tennis
- Gardens - all guests have shared access to the approximately 2 acres of gardens surrounding the cottages. There are picnic benches and garden chairs available so guests can eat or relax around the site.
- Animal feeding sessions
- A starter pack of x2 tea-towels, oven gloves, x2 bin bags, a kitchen roll, washing up liquid, washing up sponge, x4 toilet rolls, cleaning products for kitchen and bathroom, hand soap
Changeover days are normally flexible except in some peak weeks when Saturday is the standard changeover day. If this doesn't fit with your plans please feel free to contact us and we will see if we can assist with an alternate arrangement.

We are not able to accept dogs in the Linhay. If you would like to bring your pet on holiday with you then the Threshing Barn could be the perfect option as this is our only dog-friendly cottage.
