Lower Hearson Cottages Family friendly self-catering cottages with swimming pool and animal experiences. The 5 cottages on our North Devon smallholding are perfect for groups of friends or larger families who want to holiday or celebrate together.

Grounds & Facilities

We have 2 acres of gardens that guests can enjoy for relaxation or play. The established shrubs and trees divide the gardens into smaller areas meaning you can find a quiet spot to read while the children play nearby. The shared games room and outdoor play area allow children to play together and make new friends.

	Outdoor swimming pool Open from May half-term to early-September from ~9am to ~8pm. EXCITING UPDATE FOR 2024: Thanks to our brand new pool heater, you can jump in and make a splash in water maintained at a comfortable 28°C from May until September. It's the perfect setting for everyone, including the littlest swimmers, to take a dip. The pool is 11.5m long x 5m wide and is 1.68m deep at the deepest point. Free use of the swimming pool is included in your cottage rental. We don't have a booking system for the pool; it is a shared facility and open to all guests.
Games Room The games room is available 24/7 (although we request noise is minimal after 9pm) Table tennis and Table football are the most popular activities. Toys and games for toddlers/younger children. A large range of books for you to borrow - take them into the gardens or back to your cottage to read in comfort. All the toys and games are free to use. There are no hidden charges when using the games room. Beach item library: buckets, spades and windbreaks for you to borrow.
	Gardens 2 acres of gardens are free for all guests to enjoy and explore Garden chairs and picnic benches for relaxing or outdoor dining (feel free to move them to your perfect spot) We have BBQs available for you to borrow so you just need to bring the charcoal Enjoy a short stroll along (or splash in) our stream The combination of open grass areas and mature trees let you enjoy the sun or relax in the shade.
Produce We often have home grown fruit, vegetables and eggs available for you to buy. Enjoy seasonal fruit and vegetables that have travelled food metres instead of food miles We love growing our own food and are always happy to show you round our gardens and share tips Any eggs we sell on site will be from our own small flock of hens
